Family Fun Weekend

Last weekend Aaron's brother Adam and his wife Stacey and my brother Mark and his wife Lori and her daughter Hannah were all in town. It was one crazy weekend. We didn't get to see Mark and Lori as much as we would have liked. They ended up having a mix-up in flight arrangements and weren't able to come to our house on Thursday evening like we had planned which was sad, because I think when we saw them on Sunday, Hannah and Ada were starting to get on with one another right as we were leaving! We spent the afternoon on Sunday with my side of the family for Kendall's deacon ordination. I enjoyed the time that I did get to talk with Lori and Mark even though it was short.

Adam and Stacey were in on Friday evening and we went to dinner with them and May at Tucano's. I was really disappointed in our service there. Usually they bring you out all the meats fairly quickly but we had to ask for certain meats to even be served. I think that was the first time I have had such slow and unattentive service there. But the company was good so that's the most important thing.

Saturday we spent the day tubing with Adam, Stacey and May followed by dinner. Tubing was so much fun. The kids especially liked it when we all connected up and went down as a "glob" or a "train" and the weather was perfect! The sun was shining! It was gorgeous!

I was so prepared for this tubing outing. I had all the kids gather all of their coats, hats, gloves, snowpants etc TWO days in advance so that we wouldn't be searching last minute. When we got up there however we noticed that Tessa's coat was missing a ZIPPER! Aaron was so concerned that she be warm enough that he gave her his Nylon pullover and we put it over her coat. She looked like a little hockey player. I didn't get any good pictures of that. but she made some good pouty faces a couple of hours into sledding. She was feeling better after we went inside and warmed up and had a little snack. (Nathan's mood improved after a snack too.)

We had such a great weekend. I only wish we had had more time to have spent with everyone!

Robyn, I love how your hair curls when it's damp. You look great! I also like that photo of Aaron at the end of the post. Cool camera effects.
