Valentine's Day @ Cherry Creek

I spent the afternoon at the school doing various activities with my kids. Ryan's class hosted "Are you smarter than a first grader" And some of those questions were tough! Does anyone know what a diagraph is? Or what a letter is that "R" bosses around? How about how much a long box or a caramel s worth? (No fair using google!) And I'm not even going to go into the reading questions, because they dealt with stories I wasn't familiar with! It was a close game but once the parents ran out of lifelines those 1st graders beat us! It was a fun way to see what the kids are learning and spend time in the classroom! (Apparently Nathan's class did the smarter than a fifth grader thing in the morning but he didn't tell me about it--his teacher did send us a math puzzler through email though--
There are 7 girls in a bus.
Each girl has 7 backpacks.
In each backpack, there are 7 big cats.
For every big cat there are 7 little cats.

Question: How many legs are there in the bus?)

I don't think Kielle's class had a parent thing--so next I went over to Ada's class for a game day. We played some math games with Marnie and Paige. It was fun to play Don't Eat Pete and not so fun to play the Hershey's fractions game.

Finally I went over to Kindergarten and helped a little with Tessa's party.
Thanks to Marnie, I have a photo to go with this blog post!
It was a fun day I got to spend with the kids. Way better than working all afternoon!
