Now what are you going to do?
That was the subject line of the email I received yesterday from the CEO where I work. The indisputable answer to that question of course is "I'm going to Disneyland!" Our company shattered all of our sales records last month and now we are all going be flown out to California for a day to party at Disneyland! How cool is that!?

Prince of the Sword Competition
Friday, Nathan participated in a fencing competition. It was a small group, but he made it to the 2nd to last round. He finished 4th out of about 40 kids! We are so proud of him! He did so awesome! It was a lot of fun. A little disorganized and crazy but fun. This marks the end of his beginner lessons. Now he can join the club and go 2x a week and get private lessons and keep playing and learning. We will probably start him up in the club in January or so. He has really enjoyed participating in fencing.

Happy Birthday Nathan
I started this post Wednesday-which was Nathan's birthday, but ended up getting pulled away to help kids with homework.
So Happy Be-lated birthday to Nathan! He is now 11 ! Nathan has been working on creating a new version of his latest favorite video game called Animal Crossing. He is creating Wizard's Animal Crossing. He has created detailed drawings and instructions on huge pieces of paper mapping out all of his ideas. It is kind of cool to watch his creative process.
He got a Rip-Stik for his birthday, because he was always taking Kielle's and needed one of his own. I've learned my lesson, though, they both have helmets now!
Look at those eyes! Now I know that he loves it!

Does this count as a vacation destination?
I had to go into work yesterday for meeting so we didn't do anything grand for the first day of fall break, but today we got all ready early, the kids were excited they couldn't wait to go. The hopped into the car with a sense of anticipation. We made sure the iPod was synced so we could listen to the latest Adventures in Odyssey podcast on the drive to our final destination...IKEA! Yep, my kids are always begging me to go. They had so much fun looking at all the things in the children's section and were tolerant of me creating my personal wishlist. Yes. It was a fun and exciting hour and a half at IKEA and we topped it off with delicious Ballerina & Singoalla cookies! Could any other destination be so fun?!
